Our Story

Castro Direct Primary Care was born out of a decade of frustration in large healthcare systems, where healthcare was structured to meet the needs of a very narrow demographic of patients. The inability to provide patients with the care Dr. Selvaduray knew they deserved and knew she was capable of giving frequently left her feeling burnt-out. She sometimes considered leaving medicine altogether despite deeply enjoying caring for her patients.

Instead of letting this broken system drive her out of the profession she loves, she dreamed of something better. This primary care practice focuses on building relationships and holding space for all people.
